Book Excerpt #17 "Putting the New in New"

4. Putting the “New” in New

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
(Isaiah 43: 19)

God sees all of my days from their beginning until their ending. His bringing each day to me is what is new. Sometimes there are joys. Other times obstacles emerge. He flows with his grace and with me, either through them or around them. He is with me. I am not to be waiting for him to arrive. Obstacles are an opportunity for his strength to be manifested. His faithfulness is foremost in my thoughts if I stop and remember He has been with me in the past, continues to dwell with me in the present, and He will lead me into tomorrow.

  1. Perfect timing reading this Lynn! "Newness" is the word for this year that the Lord gave me. He's been reminding me afresh of that word lately, as I begin to send out my weekly devotional emails & also consider some other new things. Grace is the other word that He keeps giving me lately. Once again the word "grace" in your devotional reminds me to give myself grace too..... something I'm not always good at doing! Thanks for your beautiful post from your book. LOVE the photos too, as always. LOTSoluv Kerryn

    1. Kerryn - as I choose which excerpts to post over these weeks, I have gravitated to the very messages I am presently needing. Much of the time, I don't recognize it until after I have made the posting!! :)

You know the medical needs that have come unexpectedly and shut down any 'planned' means to promote my book and at the same time, I see God's hands in all of this - asking me to let Him work to bring my health back to a place where I will be better able to continue the plans he has begun.

I am so glad to read this was 'just the right" one for you and where you are in your life right now.

      Love you, sweet friend!
      Lynn
